Is Children’s Fashion Show Appropriate or not?

Do you remember what we wore when we were kids? Then make comparisons with the ones our kids are wearing now. What can you finally get? They are more fashionable, and also much more expensive.

The market for children’s designer clothing is bigger than ever. The market for children’s clothes in Britain is estimated at $8 billion, but the worldwide number is more than 10 times that, reports Independent.co.uk.

“All key luxury labels have a children’s line now,” said Alex Theophanous, who co-organized the Global Kids Fashion Week. The 500-person crowd paid over $100 a ticket to watch the Global Kids Fashion Week show, which includes children modeling clothing worth nearly $1000.

We can’t help to raise a lot of questions about high fashion for little kids tends. How expensive is too expensive? Is children's sense of style innate or learned? Should parents be instilling their children with values based on expensive clothes and looking a certain way?Ad executive and blogger Nathan Greenberg said there are many more important things in life than clothes -- especially for kids: "Kids have so much adventure to experience and so many lessons to learn that plaids and polka dots shouldn't even register on the radar."
