Celebrities’ Handbags

It seems that handbags are closely connected with celebrities, no matter the trendy style or the sales.

The everyday handbags of choice for Hollywood this spring are from Paris-based Jerome Dreyfuss, and they have caught the eye of several celebrities: Sarah Jessica Parker for Richard, a colorful, perforated patchwork leather bag, Emma Roberts for the black leather drawstring Alain, and Naomi Watts with Igor, a black python cross-body style.

Dreyfuss' under-the-radar bags are logo-less and, in keeping with their tomboyish look, have boys' names. They also have clever design details, such as multiple straps to allow carrying by hand or over the shoulder, removable wallets, attached key rings and mini-flashlights.Thatcher was known for her conservative skirt suits, which she paired with a variety of silky blouses, but her most famous accessory of all was her black leather handbag. Sales of Margaret Thatcher's preferred handbag styles have jumped 53 per cent since her death two weeks ago. The Bellini and Adagio by Launer London have seen a significant surge in popularity, with the biggest sales spike yesterday - the day of the Baroness' funeral.
